Applications are now open for the final ManagEnergy Master Class on Energy Communities. Taking place between March and May 2026, this blended training supports energy agencies and local and regional authorities in enabling citizen-led energy initiatives across Europe.

The EU Council and Parliament have agreed to fully end Russian gas imports into the EU by November 2027. The EU Commission also commits to phasing out Russian oil imports by the end of 2027.

To modernise and strengthen the EU's energy system and grid infrastructure, the EU Commission has announced two new initiatives: the European Grids Package and the Energy Highways initiative.

The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is coming up on 9-11 June 2026 in Brussels and online, and you can get involved! Apply to host a policy session by 22 January or nominate a person, project, or initiative for an EUSEW Award by 29 January.

In November 2025, ManagEnergy Expert Lisa Vaughan travelled to Pamplona to support the Government of Navarre in developing the business plan and priorities for the soon-to-be-established Energy Agency, ATENA.
