Cities Set a Record in Pursuit of Clean Energy Investments

The 7th call of the European City Facility (EUCF) has seen an unprecedented 297 applications from local governments across 27 eligible countries, marking a milestone in the push for climate-neutral solutions. With EUR 60,000 grants available for 71 selected projects, this initiative empowers cities to develop investment concepts focused on clean energy and energy efficiency.

The enthusiasm highlights a shared commitment between cities and energy agencies to champion grassroots sustainability efforts. Results will be revealed in March 2025, promising transformative ideas for a greener future.
