The Affordable Housing Initiative is introducing a customised learning programme aimed at helping professionals from cities, housing providers, and companies develop the skills needed to plan or carry out sustainable construction or renovation projects in affordable housing.
This initiative focuses on fostering integrated approaches that improve the quality of housing while addressing challenges commonly faced in social and affordable housing projects. Support will be tailored to the specific learning needs of each participant, equipping them with tools, skills, and resources to enhance the success of their housing initiatives.
A team of carefully selected experts—chosen for their experience in leading innovative projects with outstanding outcomes for residents—will guide participants throughout the programme. The training will include a variety of educational resources such as peer-to-peer mentorship, study visits, workshops, online classes, webinars on accessing finance, and pitching sessions.
Participation in the programme requires completing an application form. All applications will be assessed individually by a jury, based solely on the responses provided. Only 15 participants will be selected to ensure each receives a bespoke learning experience.
The current application period is open from 5 December 2024 to 28 February 2025, with the programme set to begin in March 2025. There are no fees for participation. While additional application windows may be considered in the future, the programme will conclude by March 2026.
The application process should take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Careful and thorough responses are recommended to maximise the chances of being among the first 15 selected.
Best of luck with the application process!
