Description
We invite you to attend the Act!onHeat final conference this November 2024, where we’ll explore the future of heating and cooling (H&C) in Europe.
Decarbonising the H&C sector is crucial for achieving the EU’s 2050 climate goals. This sector currently accounts for nearly half of Europe’s energy consumption, with 75% still reliant on fossil fuels. While local action is essential, many cities struggle with limited resources and capacity to implement effective H&C strategies. Digital tools offer a solution, enabling more cost-effective and efficient planning. Platforms like Hotmaps and THERMOS can streamline the development of district energy projects.
As the Act!onHeat project wraps up after three years of implementation, we are excited to share our findings and success stories. Join us on Wednesday, 13 November 2024, at the BIP Meeting Centre in Brussels (Rue Royale 2-4, 1000 Brussels, Belgium) for an engaging public event.
This conference will bring together key stakeholders from the H&C sector, including energy agencies, city officials, industry representatives, and members of the European Commission. Topics of discussion will include sector digitalisation, financing strategies, H&C plan development, and effective communication. Attendees will also hear success stories from European cities that have benefited from the Act!onHeat initiative in their H&C decarbonisation efforts. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect and learn!
