The Global Energy Review 2026 provides the first full assessment of trends across the global energy sector in 2025. Published by the International Energy Agency, the report covers developments across all fuels and technologies, major regions and countries, and energy-related carbon dioxide emissions.

The publication presents estimates of energy demand by region, source and fuel, as well as key developments in electricity demand and supply. It also analyses the deployment of selected clean energy technologies, including electric vehicles, heat pumps, solar PV, wind, nuclear and battery storage.

The report further examines trends in energy intensity and assesses how factors such as weather conditions influenced energy demand and emissions in 2025.
