Description
Finding money for community energy is not an easy task. Community energy initiatives involve more than just managing funds, they require addressing critical questions about community autonomy, inclusive participation, and long-term vision: How can we protect our community's autonomy? How do we ensure inclusive participation? What is the community's vision for the short and long term? How should potential community members be approached?
In response to these challenges, the ‘Financing guide for energy communities’ has been crafted in the framework of the SCCALE 203050 project, funded by the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme of the European Union. This guide offers a first step into this intricate world, to demystify the complexities of community energy financing, aiming to be accessible and hands-on.
It achieves this by sharing 14 recent and practical financing stories from European energy communities. Each story is not only a testament to the community's resilience but also a valuable lesson.
Discover essential strategies, from safeguarding autonomy to inclusive participation, empowering you to navigate the financial landscape and turn your renewable energy dreams into reality.
