The IN-PLAN Train the Trainer program is back for its fourth edition. It offers a free online capacity-building opportunity for energy, climate, and development agencies focused on integrated spatial planning strategies. This program will equip you with practical skills and insights to help local and regional authorities adopt the IN-PLAN practice through expert guidance and peer-to-peer learning.

Why This Training Matters:

As urban areas grow and climate change accelerates, comprehensive and forward-thinking spatial planning is crucial. The IN-PLAN program teaches agencies how to create sustainable, resilient spatial plans that address today’s challenges.

What’s New in This Edition:

This edition features a refreshed agenda emphasizing the IN-PLAN Practice, a support structure that aids local and regional authorities in integrating climate, energy, and spatial planning. This practical framework helps local governments meet their climate neutrality targets by aligning their development frameworks with sustainability goals.

Training Schedule:

The online training spans three days, totalling 7.5 hours, and includes:

  • Day 1 (November 19, 2024): Introduction to IN-PLAN and spatial planning fundamentals, workshops, and initial assignments.
  • Day 2 (November 26, 2024): Presentation of case studies and continued work on group assignments.
  • Day 3 (December 3, 2024): Leadership skills in spatial planning, final presentations, and feedback.
