The EUSALP Energy Award 2026 is now open for applications. Organised by Action Group 9 of the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP), the award recognises outstanding initiatives that contribute to making the Alpine region a model for energy efficiency and renewable energy.

From innovation to real impact

This year’s edition, “Energy Transition in the Alps: From Innovation to Real Impact”, highlights projects that go beyond ideas and deliver tangible results in the electricity and heating sectors.

The call is open to a wide range of stakeholders, including energy agencies, local authorities, businesses, and community initiatives, working on innovative solutions for the energy transition.

What kind of projects can apply?

Applications are invited in three key areas:

  • Technological innovation
  • Organisational, social, or regulatory innovation
  • Business model innovation

Projects should demonstrate impact, scalability, and transferability, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient Alpine region.

  • Opening of the call: 8 April 2026
  • Deadline to apply: 12 July 2026
  • Selection period: July - August 2026
  • Announcement of winners: 14 August 2026
  • Award ceremony: 22 October 2026, at the EUSALP Annual Forum in Lindau (Germany)
