PEDvolution Launches Open Call to Pilot Positive Energy District Solutions

Municipalities and innovators can now apply to test advanced tools for Positive Energy Districts under the PEDvolution Open Call—applications close 30 June 2025.

The PEDvolution project, funded under Horizon Europe, has launched an Open Call for Demonstrators to test and validate cutting-edge solutions for Positive Energy Districts (PEDs) across Europe.

Running from 1 May to 30 June 2025, this call offers selected applicants up to €150,000 in funding and access to PEDvolution’s tools—ranging from digital twins and energy management systems to business modelling and citizen engagement solutions.

📌 Who can apply?
 

The call is open to a broad range of stakeholders involved in PEDs, including:

  • Municipalities, urban planners, and energy communities
  • Utilities, DSOs, SMEs, and technology providers
  • Universities, research institutions, and housing associations

Applicants can apply as individual entities, consortia, or as existing/emerging PEDs, regardless of their development stage.
