The European Alliance to Save Energy (EU-ASE) and the European Comission is organising The European Energy Efficiency Award of the Year 2026 where individuals who have shown outstanding leadership in advancing energy efficiency across Europe get regonised.
The Award celebrates people who have made a lasting contribution to putting energy efficiency at the heart of European policy and industrial transformation, strengthening competitiveness and energy security along the way.
Nominations can be submitted in two categories: Policy and Public Leadership, or Industry Leadership. Each nomination is judged on three criteria: impact, leadership, and replicability, meaning how well the nominee's work could inspire or be repeated elsewhere in Europe.
This event will take place in relation to the European Energy Efficiency Day. On the 14th October there will be held a Gala dinner which will take place at the Members’ Restaurant in the European Parliament on the evening.
