Across Europe, cost remains one of the biggest hurdles standing between homeowners and a completed renovation. Even when the benefits are clear, not knowing how to pay for the work is often what stalls a project before it starts.
To help advisors and One-Stop Shops address this, EU Peers has launched a new online training programme: Train the Trainer - Financing Home Renovation. No specialist knowledge of finance is needed. Instead, the course gives a clear, practical overview of the renovation financing landscape, helping participants feel more confident discussing costs, funding opportunities and financing options with homeowners.
What the course covers
Across five short modules, each under 20 minutes, participants learn why renovation is fundamentally a financial decision. They also explore who the key players in renovation financing are, and how banks assess renovation projects. The final modules focus on combining different funding sources into one package, and how to talk homeowners through costs, savings and repayment terms.
Built for real-world use
The course runs entirely online, so EU Peers Community of Practice members can work through it at their own pace and return to any module later. It also includes country-specific material, giving participants a clearer picture of national schemes and local funding options.

By making renovation financing easier to explain, the course helps advisors and One-Stop Shops turn a common obstacle into a manageable first step, supporting the Community's broader push to speed up high-quality home renovations across Europe.
