FINAL CALL for cities and regions to achieve their sustainable energy goals without traditional bank loans

As the European Union’s climate and energy targets are increasingly ambitious, public authorities are facing challenges to speed up their energy transformation due to the limited access to subsidies. Other-than-subsidies financing instruments offer an opportunity to avoid delays.

The PROSPECT+ project team is inviting local and regional public authorities, along with their energy agencies from the EU27, UK, and H2020 associated countries, to be part of our transformative capacity-building programme centred on innovative financing!

About PROSPECT+

Since its launch in 2017, PROSPECT+ has been a catalyst for change, equipping over 300 participants with crucial skills and knowledge in the ever-evolving realm of energy and climate action financing.

Dive into PROSPECT+’s vibrant ecosystem, where cities, regions, and energy agencies converge in a dynamic peer-to-peer learning network. Engage with an array of innovative financing schemes. These include Energy Performance Contracting, Third-Party Financing, Revolving and Intracting funds, and Cooperatives for energy communities, all aimed at enhancing local and regional energy and climate initiatives.

Innovative financing for energy agencies

The PROSPECT+ programme is entirely free of charge, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for all. It covers five thematic areas: public buildings, private buildings, public lighting, transport, and cross-sectoral initiatives.

The call opens from 22 January 2024 to 1 March 2024 and the final learning cycle will kick off in May 2024. For your application, you need to submit a letter of support from a political representative (such as a mayor or a director) from either the public authority or the energy agency.

PROSPECT+ has launched a specific call for applications inviting public authorities and energy agencies to join a local learning group. In these local learning groups, participants will have the unique opportunity to collaborate and work together in their native languages:
