Call for Applications: CLIMATEFIT Replication Programme

The Energy and Climate Agency of Podravje is inviting local and regional authorities to apply for the CLIMATEFIT Replication Programme, a Horizon Europe-backed initiative aimed at strengthening climate adaptation financing and setting up Local Resilience Taskforces (LRTs).

This structured programme provides expert support, collaborative learning, and tailored guidance to help participants develop effective investment strategies for climate resilience.

Why Join?

Securing funds for climate adaptation remains a significant challenge for many European regions. CLIMATEFIT helps overcome this by:

✔ Strengthening cooperation between local governments and financial stakeholders.

Programme Structure

The CLIMATEFIT Replication Programme includes three interactive online sessions, guiding participants through key aspects of LRT development and climate adaptation financing:

📌 Understanding the Landscape – Introduction to CLIMATEFIT, discussion of local adaptation needs, and insights into resilience financing.
📌 Collaboration & Strategy – Deep dive into the LRT model, its role in accelerating investments, and techniques for fostering public-private cooperation.
📌 From Vision to Implementation – Developing investment-ready adaptation projects, applying CLIMATEFIT methodologies, and strengthening cooperation at regional and international levels.

Who Can Apply?

✔ Local and regional public authorities, including municipalities, districts, and metropolitan areas.
✔ Public organisations supporting local authorities, such as regional energy and climate agencies.

Priority will be given to applicants with an adaptation plan or those already involved in climate resilience initiatives.
