The European Environment Agency (EEA) is now inviting expressions of interest from institutions and organisations to become Topic Centre Organisations of the Agency. As Topic Centre Organisations, selected members will support the EEA's work with the European Environment Information and Observation Network (Eionet) during period of 2027–2030. To submit an application, apply by 31 October 2025, 14:00 CET.
What Are Topic Centres?
Topic Centres offer vital support to the EEA by facilitating the management, analysis, and flow of environmental and climate data between EU Member States and the EU level. Topic Centre activities include:
- The collection, verification, and assessment of environmental and climate data reported by EU Member States under various legislative obligations.
- The integration of analytical activities and knowledge flows across the Eionet network.

The 2027-2030 call is open to institutions or organisations located in one of twelve EEA volunteering Member States. Interested organisations must:
- Express interest via their national Eionet representative (contact emails are listed for each country on the EEA site).
- Review and comply with detailed guidelines, which specify the registration information and supporting documentation required to apply.
- Submit an application before the deadline: 31 October 2025, 14:00 CET.
