
The dena Energy Award 2026 is now open for applications. Organised by the German Energy Agency (dena), the award recognises projects that demonstrate how climate neutrality and energy transition can be achieved in practice.
Companies of all sizes from the public and private sectors worldwide are invited to apply with projects or concepts that deliver energy savings and CO₂ reduction.
Award categories
Applications can be submitted in three main categories:
- Move forward! - Integrated strategies and measures for climate neutrality
- Act together! - Cooperation for energy efficiency and climate action projects
- Go smart! - Energy efficiency through technologies and digitalisation
In addition, a Pioneer Audience Award will recognise small and medium enterprises leading the way in the energy transition.

- Award ceremony: 9 November 2026, during the dena Congress in Berlin
- Applications must be submitted via the official online application form
An independent jury composed of representatives from policy, industry, academia, and media will select the finalists and winners.
