Description

From 24 to 27 February 2026, the city of Wels, Austria, will host the World Sustainable Energy Days, a flagship event in the energy transition world. Organized by the OÖ Energiesparverband, this conference brings together stakeholders in the energy transition to explore forward-thinking approaches in energy efficiency, sustainable technologies, and policy development.
Attracting more than 650 participants from over 60 countries, WSED offers a dynamic platform for professionals, researchers, and experts to network, exchange knowledge, and shape the future of energy. The event will be conducted in English and German, with simultaneous interpretation provided to ensure inclusive participation.
Agenda
The upcoming edition will emphasize the role of energy efficiency and sustainability in achieving energy independence. This topic is increasingly urgent due to ongoing geopolitical uncertainties and global competition. Through a series of conferences, participants will gain insight into the strategies and innovations shaping the energy landscape.

Professionals, researchers, and innovators are also invited to contribute to the 2026 programme. The call for papers and speakers is currently open, with submissions accepted until 10 October 2025. This is an opportunity to present your work on sustainable energy solutions at an event attended by energy transition professionals.
