Description

On 15 and 16 October, the Institute for European Energy and Climate Policy (IEECP) will host a hybrid conference on a fair and green energy transition titled "Please look up! Efficient, resilient fair and smart – what does our energy and climate future look like?".
During the two-day event, participants will learn about ways to achieve a clean and inclusive energy transition and connect with a diverse group of energy and climate experts. The event will include sessions on topics such as energy efficiency and climate policies, as well as offering networking opportunities and poster sessions to discover energy and climate projects.
To mark the conclusion of multiple LIFE funded projects, findings from such projects will be presented at the conference. Representatives from LIFE funded programmes such as InEExS, Regio1st, CoolLIFE, RENOVERTY, REVERTER, Life Energy Poverty 0, GigaRegioFactory, and ENSMOV Plus will also be present at the conference.
What to Expect
Over the course of two days, this event will bring together leading voices from across Europe to share the latest lessons and achievements from four years of research and implementation. Participants will dive into actionable approaches for building a just and sustainable energy future.
Discussions will cover a wide range of themes, including business cases for smart energy services, the role of efficiency and demand response as core energy resources, renovation roadmaps to combat energy poverty, and policies to close the gap towards 2030 climate targets.
The event will be hosted at the COMET Louise, but participants are also welcome to join online.
