Description

IN-PLAN's newest edition of the Train-the-Trainer programme is scheduled from October 2nd to 3rd in Vienna, Austria! In this in-person event, attendees will have the opportunity to collaborate and learn about how to support and plan future-oriented, sustainable, and inclusive integrated spatial planning. The event will include receiving both theoretical insights and hands-on activities that will prepare participants to apply lessons to real-world situations.
People interested in supporting resilient and comprehensive integrated spatial planning, such as local energy experts, urban planners, or policy advisors, are encouraged to apply before registrations close on September 16th, 2025, at 17:00 CET. Participants will be eligible for a travel and accommodation reimbursement of up to 500 EUR per person and upon completion of the programme, will receive a Digital Badge credential and access to ongoing support and peer networking opportunities across Europe.
The Agenda
On October 2nd, activities are planned from 8:30 to 17:45 CET. On October 1st, there will be a pre-event optional site visit to the Spittelau Waste Incineration Plant, a landmark and district heat supply in Vienna. Another optional site visit to the Seestadt Aspern, the largest urban development area in Vienna and a test bed for smart urban energy practices, is scheduled for October 3rd.
