Description
ManagEnergy Talks are keynote speeches delivered by renowned climate and energy experts, followed by thought-provoking discussions with the audience. They explore innovative and transformative approaches to sustainable energy, aiming to inspire investment and action while fostering dialogue between EU institutions and stakeholders.
This year, the ManagEnergy Talk will be delivered by Dr. Kris De Meyer, a neuroscientist specialising in the neuroscience of polarization and director of the Climate Action Unit at University College London. Through his work, he applies insights from neuroscience and psychology to reshape how we think, talk about, and act on climate change.
A successful energy transition is not just about technology—it’s about people. From breaking down professional silos and securing community support for projects to navigating differing views on a ‘just and fair’ transition, the human factor is at the heart of the challenge. In this keynote, Dr. De Meyer will explore how neuroscience can help us anticipate resistance, bridge divides, and build an energy transition that people actively support.
Join us on 10 June during the official programme of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) for an eye-opening discussion on how our brains shape the path to a sustainable future!
