Grafting Cities: Cultivating Our Common Future

Mark your calendars for the Energy Cities Annual Forum 2023, themed “Grafting Cities: Cultivating Our Common Future” from 18-20 October 2023, in Modena. Hosted by the City of Modena and co-organized with the Energy and Sustainable Development Agency (AESS) and Climate Alliance, the sessions of this dynamic event will be held in a number of historic locations throughout the city of Modena, all within walking distance from one another.   

Municipal representatives from across Europe will come together for high-level plenaries, interactive workshops, informal open space formats, and valuable networking opportunities.   

One of the forum’s highlights is the thursday morning plenary session, uniting Mayors from diverse European cities. Against the backdrop of the current energy crisis, which underscores the pivotal role of municipalities, this session will explore how cities can lead equitable transitions and strive for climate neutrality, ensuring that no one is left behind. 

With Grafting Cities, we delve into tangible examples of the transformation we need, exploring how to achieve our climate goals amidst a constantly evolving local landscape. Join us in Modena as we collectively graft the seeds of a sustainable and resilient future for our cities.
