Description

The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) will mark its 20th anniversary with its next edition taking place from 9 to 11 June 2026. Participants will be able to join either in Brussels, Belgium, or online, making the event accessible to the wider European clean energy community.
The event is organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy, together with the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA). The overarching theme for EUSEW 2026 is “A clean, secure and competitive Energy Union.”
EUSEW is Europe’s largest annual gathering focused on clean energy, renewables, and the efficient use of energy. The 2026 programme will span three days, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and civil society actors to exchange ideas and shape the future of clean energy in Europe.
Key components of the event include a high-level Policy Conference, the European Sustainable Energy Awards ceremony, and an Energy Fair designed to foster networking and collaboration across the sector.
Ways to Participate in EUSEW 2026
A range of opportunities is available for individuals and organisations wishing to contribute to EUSEW 2026.
Stakeholders may apply to host a policy session, providing a forum to explore topics such as renewable energy innovation and the future direction of Europe’s energy system. Session hosts will engage directly with an audience of policymakers, innovators, and energy-sector professionals. Applications to host a policy session close on 22 January 2026.
Nominations are currently open for the European Sustainable Energy Awards, which recognise people, projects, and initiatives playing a significant role in advancing Europe’s clean energy transition. The awards place particular emphasis on contributions that align with the objectives of the EU Clean Industrial Deal and demonstrate effective, scalable clean energy practices. The nomination deadline is 29 January 2026.
Further calls to participate will be launched in early 2026. These include opportunities to host a stand at the Energy Fair (opening 13 January), apply to become a Young Energy Ambassador (opening 27 January), and organise Sustainable Energy Day events, with proposals opening on 17 February.
