- Energy Communities II: Internal governance for Energy Communities
Description

On 27 November 2025, Interreg Europe's Policy Learning Platform will host the second webinar in its new Energy Communities webinar series. This webinar will continue the Platform's exploration of Energy Communities with the second webinar in the series, dedicated to how these initiatives organise and manage themselves internally.
Across Europe, energy communities are emerging as a key part of the transition toward a decentralised and citizen-driven energy model. However, many are encountering hurdles such as navigating regulation and accessing finance to building technical expertise and raising awareness locally.
This webinar will explore how Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) across Europe approach these questions, examining practical governance models and how they adapt to local contexts and capacities.
This webinar series builds on insights gathered during the Budapest Workshop (December 2024) when participants identified two areas needing further exchange; this second session responds to that call by focusing specifically on internal governance.
