Description

The 15th IEA Heat Pump Conference will take place in Vienna, Austria, from 26 to 29 May 2026, welcoming the international heat pump community for four days of high-level exchange and collaboration. Recognised as the foremost scientific conference dedicated to heat pumps, the event convenes researchers, technology providers, policymakers, market actors, and investors with a shared focus on advancing heat pumping technologies.
Under the guiding theme “Decarbonisation through Innovation,”the conference will showcase recent scientific findings, technological developments, and practical applications that support the transition to low-carbon energy systems. The programme will address topics spanning research and development, applications, market, policy and standards, offering a comprehensive perspective on the role of heat pumps in sustainable energy strategies.
The conference is organised by the Austrian Institute of Technology and the International Energy Agency’s Technology Collaboration Programme on Heat Pumping Technologies (HPT TCP). The conference is held every three years, rotating between North America, Europe, and Asia.
The 15th IEA Heat Pump Conference in Vienna will provide a global platform for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and partnership-building, supporting innovation-driven decarbonisation and the continued evolution of heat pump technologies worldwide.
